November 2010 - Guajiru Round the Island Race & Party!
- Including The Garota Guajiru Contest 2010

November 20th, Ilha do Guajiru's 1st Round the Island Race will be held at Praia da Barra - Ilha do Guajiru!

The registration has meanwhile been opened and is open to all fanatic kiters from around the world.

The Race, held at Saturday, will be a spectacle of challenge: all competitors will have to start off from Praia da Barra, go downwind till the River Mouth, pass behind the Dunes and ride upwind on the open Sea, then head to the Secret Spot, and then race back again downwind over the Lagoon to the finish, again at Praia da Barra.

The registration for the event is very simple:

Just send your email with NAME + COUNTRY + BIRTH DATE to bookings@ilha-do-guajiru.com and pay (Rs 15,-)  start fee latest 09.00 hrs at Barraca o' Toca at the organisation desk.

The skippers meeting is at 11.00 hrs, also at Barraca o' Toca.

The prize money is as impressive as the event itself:

Men:
1st Rs 1500,-
2nd Rs 750.-
3rd Rs 500.-

Women:
1st Rs 1000,-
2nd Rs 500.-
3rd Rs 350.-

The whole event will be filmed and photographed by Jeremie Tronet from nothing less then a helicopter!

After closing of this deadline, pre-selections will be held and you will be contacted by the organisation for this purpose.
