If you like to explore Brazil’s colourful birdlife, you should definitely visit Ilha do Guajirú and go birdwatching.
Because the island has so many different, isolated and purely natural areas, you will see birds everywhere around with many different species in spectacular colours.
You will awake to the sound of birdsong, just step out onto the veranda of your cabana to watch and listen.
Whilst most of the birds prefer nestling in the green Mangroves
or near the River around the back of Ilha do Guajirú, do go also
birdwatching in the island’s Interior and the Dunes.
The Pearl Lagoon of Ilha do Guajirú is a favourite bathing and drinking area for the many species found here. The many creeks and canals supplying the Pearl Lagoon at high tide are a paradise to them!
Be sure to bring your binoculars or a camera, so not to miss a shot of that rare species you haven’t seen before.
Speak to Mr. Toca of Pousada do Toca at Praia da Barra if you need any ferry service, to anywhere on the island. |
