Pompeu's Barraca - Praia da Barra

One of the most famous bars and bartenders after Jeremie Tronet’s movie, “Discovering Ilha do Guajirú, is for sure Pompeu’s Bar and Pompeu himself.

His statement “I drink everyday 2 liters of Cachaça (sugar reet alcohol), everyday I drink 2 liters of Cachaça” has gone around the world with a big, big laugh of all watchers.

But today the evidence is sometimes still available to you: Pompeu loves drinking and so is a visit to his place sometimes a very funny act.

The last barraca at Praia da Barra is where he is located, right hand side just before  you arrive at the Windvillage!

Here, during weekends some nice locals bands often play and then, you can hardly imagine during the day when the sun it’s shining, half Itarema runs out to come and visit.

A must for you to visit: try various nights since the traffic at the spot changes a lot, some nights there is little action and the next night it’s fully loaded!
