Barraca o Toca - Praia da Barra

The biggest beach bar on the island, is for sure Barraca o Toca!

Located in the first building when you arrive at the island, you will notice the bar from far: large, sunny parasols, green grass and a giant BBQ right at the entrance: you will be unable to miss it!

The smell of Brazilian grilled fish and meat, will make you getting in already the very first night…

But here is also where all locals come and have dinner and drinks at night!

With a bunch of beanbags at the beach and wooden tables and chairs inside, the place looks great and offers a warm and welcome ambience.

At night you can have dinner here and try all the drinks they make: don’t get drunk because for sure there is wind the next day…

During some evenings there is also party’s organized and samba, forró or bossa nova bands playing: ask them when so you will be present!

In the high season, especially between September and December, the bar is very well visited and literally every evening something going on.
